A Decade of Excellence: Everest Heights Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Everest Heights Int’l Academy, Gwagwalada, Abuja, has celebrated its 10th anniversary of impactful and quality education service delivery within and outside Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.
Speaking during the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Academy in Gwagwalada, Abuja, with the theme, “Celebrating A Decade of Creating Thinkers for Tomorrow,” the Director, Toddlers Haven and Everest Heights Int’l Academy, Gwagwalada, Dr. Mrs Olubukola Dosumu, said the school had continued to make significant strides in its commitment to providing quality education, developing well-rounded learners and delivering value to stakeholders.
Dr. Mrs Olubukola Dosumu, who is also the Founder of Toddlers Haven Education Foundation, stated that the school had strengthened its academic team through the recruitment of qualified and experienced teachers, while investing in modern learning facilities, including Wowbii Interactive Boards, a well-equipped ICT Hub and Science Laboratories.
She said the facilities provide learners with engaging, practical and technology-driven learning experiences.

“A major milestone is the Everest Heights Skills Training Centre, an NBTE-certified vocational skills centre equipped to provide practical training in Fashion Design and Garment Making, Solar Photovoltaic Installation, Maintenance and Repairs, Home Electrical Appliances Maintenance and Repairs, Hospitality and Catering, Beauty and Cosmetology, and Social Media Communications.
“The centre reflects the school’s commitment to equipping learners with practical and entrepreneurial skills for the future,” she explained.

According to her, the school has equally continued to enrich its curriculum and education plan, preparing students to excel academically and participate confidently in national and international competitions.
In her words, “Beyond academics, learners benefit from a wide range of extra-curricular and co-curricular programmes, including sports and specialised clubs such as the P-MAMAC Abacus Mental Arithmetic Club, which develops numerical and mental calculation skills, and the Robotronics Club, where students explore coding, robotics and Artificial Intelligence.”
“Through these initiatives, Toddlers Haven and Everest Heights Int’l Academy continues to create an environment where learners are encouraged to learn, explore, innovate and develop the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.”
Dr. Mrs Olubukola Dosumu therefore advised parents to align themselves with the vision of the school and see it as a partner towards ensuring better and quality education delivery to their children.
While also advising students of the school to remain committed to their studies, Dr. Mrs Olubukola Dosumu said Everest Heights Int’l Academy, Gwagwalada, would continue to put in place necessary modalities that would enhance learning and teaching in the school.
In a goodwill message, a parent, Dr. Mrs Rukayat Abdulkareem, who congratulated the management and staff of the Academy on the 10th anniversary, described Everest Heights Int’l Academy, Gwagwalada, as a world-class standard school that has, in the last ten years, contributed to the growth of education in the Federal Capital Territory.
“I’m testifying to this because I have children in the school and one of them has graduated and came out with flying colours.
In fact, he has the highest JAMB score from their set, which is 314, and he’s currently studying Engineering at the University of Ilorin,” she said.
While wishing Everest Heights Int’l Academy, Gwagwalada, all the best in the years ahead, Dr. Mrs Rukayat Abdulkareem advised parents to always support the school in its quest to deliver quality education to their children.
Also in his goodwill message, another parent, Mr Tale Alabi, who congratulated the school on its 10th anniversary, described the outstanding quality of Everest Heights Int’l Academy, Gwagwalada, as “one in a million.”
“My child started from Creche in this school and, to the glory of God, today, she’s in SS3. Through this school, my daughter has had the opportunity of travelling out of Nigeria and, on each occasion, there are people asking her which school she attends due to her outstanding performance.
“Whenever she mentioned Toddlers Haven and Everest Heights Int’l Academy, Gwagwalada, to them, they’re always surprised that there’s a standard school of this nature in Gwagwalada, both in terms of moral, education and culture,” Mr Tale Alabi stated.
Highpoints of the anniversary celebration were the inauguration of the Alumni Association and the 1st Term Curriculum Conference, 2026, of the school.
