2027 Election: Arewa Christians Target Five Million Votes for Tinubu
Arewa Christians for Tinubu 2027 (ACT-2027) has announced plans to mobilise five million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, with a campaign targeting Christian communities across northern Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory.
The group’s Convener and National Coordinator, Ambassador Ayuba Jacob Ngbako, disclosed this during the dedication of its national secretariat at Ogun House, Central Business District, Abuja, on October 4, 2026.

Ngbako called on members to intensify grassroots mobilisation across the 19 northern states and the FCT, urging them to establish structures at state, local government and ward levels.
He said the group would engage youths, market women, religious leaders and other community stakeholders to advance its political agenda ahead of the elections.

According to him, ACT-2027, the political wing of the Arewa Christians Development Association (ACDA), seeks to encourage Christians in northern Nigeria to participate more actively in the political process.
He clarified that the organisation was not a church or denomination but a political movement focused on mobilising support for Tinubu’s re-election.

Speaking on the theme, Building Arewa Through Christ-Centred Service, Ngbako said the development of northern Nigeria required collective responsibility, integrity, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence among its diverse religious and ethnic communities.
He maintained that the region’s challenges could not be addressed by government alone, stressing the need for individuals and organisations to contribute to its social and economic advancement.
Ngbako said the group’s approach to political engagement would be guided by the principles of love, integrity and selfless service, warning against religious hostility, division and the pursuit of personal interests.
On the 2027 election, he cited the Tinubu administration’s economic reforms, governance initiatives and development programmes as reasons for the group’s support for the president’s re-election bid.
He specifically mentioned petrol subsidy removal and foreign exchange reforms, arguing that the policies were intended to address structural challenges in the Nigerian economy.
He also referenced initiatives in student financing, agriculture, consumer financing and infrastructure, emphasising the need for continuity in implementing government policies.
As part of its planned advocacy activities, ACT-2027 will unveil a book titled Meet President Tinubu and His 52 Managers of the Economy in December.
Ngbako said the publication profiles 52 officials associated with the management of key economic institutions, including the Ministry of Finance, Central Bank of Nigeria, Federal Inland Revenue Service, Bank of Industry, Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and Nigeria Customs Service.
He explained that the book was intended to provide information about the administration’s economic policies and improve public understanding of its Renewed Hope agenda.
The coordinator appealed to stakeholders to support the planned unveiling and assist the group in securing Tinubu’s participation in the event.
He further urged members to establish state secretariats and strengthen their presence at the grassroots as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
Ngbako said the organisation would combine political mobilisation with advocacy for peaceful coexistence and community development, expressing hope that its activities would contribute to the progress of northern Nigeria and the country.
