2027: Kick out rising solid minerals exploitation, reject bad governance in Nasarawa — Obugadu urges youth

The People’s Democratic party (PDP) governorship candidate in Nasarawa state, Hon Emmanuel Ombugadu has Challenged the youths of the state especially those in the western Zone to take the destiny of the state in their hands by safeguarding the God given resources.

This is even as he has promised to teach Nasarawa youths how to take local ownership of solid minerals such as gold, lithium, and wolframite, assuring that if elected as the governor in 2027, proper survey and exploration will yield widespread job creation and end the paradox of local communities remaining impoverished despite vast mineral wealth in the state.

The PDP governorship candidate who spoke at a campaign rally in Nasarawa Local government Area of the state, said his Visionary Perspective if given the mandate would place the prospective youths, women, and other vulnerable people of the state in strategic positions of reclaiming the lost glory of the state from the hands of those he described as shylocks leaders.

” The destiny of the state lies in your hand. Nasarawa deserves better living, the state is richly blessed with abundant mineral resources. under my watch as the governor poverty, unwarranted hardship will end”, Ombugadu declared.

According to him, “the deceit Which has characterize these localized mining sites, denial of ownership” unfulfilled promises as a political gimmick will become a thing of the past.

How long will our people remain in abject poverty, near absence of road network with the mineral resources being catered away”, the PDP governorship candidate questioned?.

Ombugadu who urged the people of Nasarawa West to reject further deceit, warned strongly against denying the people the right to benefit from the available mineral resources.

“The geographical region of Nasarawa West comprising Kokona, Karu, Keffi, Nasarawa, and Toto is heavily endowed with valuable deposits. However, the management of these resources is highly deceitful.

Nasarawa West holds significant commercial deposits of high grade lithium with largest processing plant in Nasarawa LGA, gemstones, in Keffi and Kokona, and massive marble deposit in Toto yet these areas have continued to suffer neglect, no road network for the benefit of the host communities

“We are in Nasarawa to let you know that enough is a enough and this can only be realized when you give us your vote in 2027. You voters card is your weapon, go out and obtain your voters card to vote out bad governance, huger, hardships and denial of your legitimate right to ownership of the available mineral resources in your localities”,

The PDP governorship candidate insisted.

” The PDP administration under my watch if elected in 2027 will build world class hospitals, healthcare centers across the nooks and cranies of Nasarawa state because our state is blessed, rich with natural resources. Why should our people be allowed to suffer when we have everything to make lives better”.

The campaign rally was equally held in Keffi where where the electorates were unanimous in their resolve to kick out bad governance, insecurity, hardship and hunger

Earlier, Hon. Ombugadu and his campaign team had paid courtesy calls on the traditional rulers of Nasarawa and Keffi to seek their royal blessings ahead of the 2027 general elections.
