BREAKING: Sowore Reportedly Abducted by Armed Thugs in Ado-Ekiti

Human rights activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Comrade Omoleye Sowore, has reportedly been kidnapped by armed thugs, with his whereabouts currently unknown.

The alleged abduction was announced on his official Facebook page on Friday.
Sowore had earlier encountered political thugs in Ado-Ekiti, South-West Nigeria, on Friday.

The activist personally reported the attack on his social media page, saying the assailants stormed a restaurant where he had reportedly gone to eat and attacked him.

“Thugs just attacked us inside a restaurant in Ado Ekiti,” Sowore wrote.
The incident had yet to be verified by the Police in Ondo State as of the time of filing this report, while tension was gradually building amid heightened political activities.

It is on record that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had approved the deployment of police officers and other security operatives to provide protection for all presidential candidates, irrespective of their political affiliations.
