Passengers applaud Binani Air’s smooth inaugural Lagos flight as the airline pledges excellence, affordability and improved connectivity across Nigeria.

Nigeria’s aviation industry recorded another significant achievement on Monday as Binani Air successfully operated its first commercial flight to Lagos, marking a major expansion of its domestic operations.


The inaugural flight departed Abuja with excitement among passengers and aviation stakeholders before arriving safely in Lagos, where travellers commended the airline for its punctuality, professionalism and smooth onboard services.
Speaking before the flight, the Group President of Binani Air described the Lagos route as an important step toward establishing a dependable indigenous airline committed to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
She explained that the commencement of flights to Lagos aligns with the airline’s wider vision of enhancing connectivity, supporting business activities and contributing to national economic growth through efficient air transportation services.
According to her, the Lagos operation represents more than just a route expansion, stressing that it demonstrates the airline’s commitment to connecting people, businesses and opportunities across the country.
She stated that Binani Air is being built on the principles of safety, discipline, professionalism and excellent service delivery, adding that the airline intends to continue earning the trust of Nigerians through consistency and reliability.
The Group President also appreciated passengers for the confidence they have shown in the airline within its early days of operation, assuring customers that safety and quality service would remain top priorities.
Also speaking, the Chairperson of the airline, Aishatu Dahiru Binani, said the airline remains committed to supporting the Federal Government’s efforts toward economic growth and improved transportation infrastructure.
She commended the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for policies encouraging private sector participation in the aviation industry, noting that sustainable growth in the sector depends on strong collaboration between regulators and operators.
Binani described Lagos as a strategic commercial destination, adding that the successful operation marks another important milestone for the airline.
She further assured passengers that Binani Air would continue to uphold global best practices while investing in manpower development, operational efficiency and enhanced customer experience.
Passengers on board the inaugural Lagos flight also expressed satisfaction with the airline’s services, describing the experience as smooth, organised and professionally coordinated.
One business traveller noted that the airline’s punctual departure and organised boarding process were particularly impressive during the trip.
According to him, the check-in and boarding procedures were orderly and stress-free, adding that many Nigerians would embrace the airline if it maintains the same standard.
