NNPC Records N481bn Profit in April as Revenue Surges to N4.97tn
Nigeria’s national oil company, NNPC Limited, recorded significant growth across its major financial and production indicators in April 2026, according to its latest Monthly Report Summary.
The report showed that the company generated revenue of N4.971 trillion during the month, representing a 79.23 percent increase compared to the figure recorded in March. Profit After Tax (PAT) also rose substantially to N481 billion, reflecting a 74.28 percent month-on-month increase.
NNPC further disclosed that its cumulative statutory remittances between January and April 2026 amounted to N3.714 trillion.
According to the report, crude oil and condensate production increased to 1.68 million barrels per day (mbpd), marking an approximate 7.69 percent rise from the production level achieved in March 2026.
Gas production remained relatively stable during the period, averaging 7,730 million standard cubic feet per day (mscf/d), compared with 7,731 mscf/d recorded in March.
On the infrastructure front, NNPC announced the successful completion of the OB3 River Niger Crossing project, describing it as a major milestone for Nigeria’s gas transmission network.
The company also reported continued progress on the construction and installation of the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline mainline, noting that it is targeting the commencement of gas supply to Abuja before the end of 2026.
The AKK Gas Pipeline, regarded as one of Nigeria’s most significant energy infrastructure projects, is expected to improve natural gas availability across the North-Central and Northern regions when completed.
NNPC Limited stated that the report highlights several strategic initiatives undertaken during the review period as part of efforts to strengthen operations and support Nigeria’s energy development objectives.
