BREAKING:Netanyahu Visits Frontline Security Zone in Southern Lebanon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accompanied by Defence Minister Israel Katz and other senior military commanders, paid a surprise visit to the security zone in southern Lebanon.

During the visit, the Prime Minister and the Defence Minister received a comprehensive operational briefing from the Commander of the Northern Command, Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, the Commander of the 91st Division, and brigade commanders overseeing operations in the area.
They were also presented with demonstrations of newly developed ammunition and weapons designed to counter drone threats.
Addressing Israeli troops, Prime Minister Netanyahu commended their efforts, saying they had played a significant role in weakening what he described as the Iranian axis and reducing security threats facing Israel.
He stated that Hezbollah’s missile stockpile had been drastically reduced from an estimated 150,000 missiles and rockets to about eight percent of its previous capacity. According to him, Israeli forces have also eliminated about 9,000 militants, including hundreds in recent weeks.
Netanyahu said Israel’s military strategy now focuses on establishing security buffer zones inside neighbouring territories rather than along its own borders. He noted that similar measures had been implemented in both Lebanon and Gaza to prevent armed groups from operating close to Israeli communities.
He instructed troops to continue dismantling infrastructure allegedly used for attacks, including tunnels, weapons sites and other facilities, while stressing that protecting the lives of Israeli soldiers remains the military’s highest priority.
The Prime Minister further declared that Israeli forces would remain in southern Lebanon until what he described as the Hezbollah threat is completely removed.
He also called on Iran and Hezbollah to withdraw from Lebanon, arguing that both Israel and Lebanon should be allowed to pursue security and stability without external interference.
Accompanying the Prime Minister on the visit were the Head of Israel’s National Security Council, Shmuel Ben Ezra, and the Prime Minister’s Military Secretary, Maj. Gen. Guy Markizeno.
