Family Debunks False Reports On Late Actress Temitope Osoba’s Death

The family of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has expressed disappointment over the spread of false information surrounding her death, urging the public to ignore unverified reports circulating on social media and some online platforms.

According to reports, news of the actress’ death was first shared on Instagram by her colleague, Alesh Sanni, on Wednesday, after which several online platforms published varying accounts of the circumstances surrounding her passing. The family described such reports as unauthorized and misleading.
In a statement, the family said the numerous claims about the cause and circumstances of Osoba’s death were false, speculative and entirely unauthorized. They appealed to media organisations and the public to refrain from spreading misinformation, stressing that it only adds to the pain the family is already experiencing.
The family further appealed for privacy as they mourn their loved one, noting that any official information meant for the public would be communicated through the appropriate channels. They also expressed appreciation to Nigerians for their prayers, love and support during the difficult period, while thanking everyone for respecting the memory of the late actress and the family’s privacy.
