The Chairman of Sabon Birni Local Government Area, Alhaji Hashimu Dantudu, has said that the security situation in the area is recording tremendous improvement following the deployment of the recently procured armoured vehicles by Governor Ahmed Aliyu.

He disclosed this on Sunday in Tsamaye Village, Sabon Birni Local Government Area, when a state government delegation, led by the State APC Leader, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, paid a condolence visit to the people of the area over the death of the Sabon Birni Local Government APC Chairman, Alhaji Amadu Malale.

According to him, cases of attacks have reduced tremendously since the deployment of the armoured vehicles in the area.

The Chairman commended Governor Aliyu for providing the armoured vehicles, which, according to him, had gone a long way towards improving security in the area.

“We are indeed witnessing the presence of security personnel in our area more than before,” he said.

He described Governor Aliyu’s decision to acquire the armoured vehicles as commendable and worthy of emulation.

Hashimu further expressed optimism that, with the state government’s renewed commitment to strengthening security, banditry would soon become a thing of the past.

The Chairman assured the state government of his council’s continued support towards curbing the menace of banditry in the area.

Sabon Birni Local Government Area is one of the areas affected by insecurity arising from the activities of bandits in the state.

It would be recalled that the administration of Governor Ahmed Aliyu recently procured 62 armoured vehicles and 2,000 motorcycles, which were distributed to security agencies across the state to support ongoing operations against bandits and other criminal activities.
