FRSC Moves To Ensure Safety On Highways In Ember Months

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, says adequate measures are being put in place to ensure the safety of lives and property on the highways during the last four months of the year.

The Corps Marshal, Mallam Shehu Mohammed, stated this during a valedictory session for the retired Assistant Corps Marshal, Operations, Olusegun Ogungbemide, in Abuja.

He said officers and men of the Corps had undergone adequate training to enhance their performance during the ember months.

Mallam Shehu Mohammed said the Corps was also making efforts to ensure that all commands receive the necessary logistics to carry out operations across the country.

He commended the contributions of the retired Assistant Corps Marshal and urged younger officers to make impact while still in service.

Mallam Shehu Mohammed described the retired Assistant Corps Marshal as a dedicated officer who used his Thirty years to serve humanity.

The FRSC Boss said the corps will greatly miss his service and prayed for his good health after retirement.

The retired Assistant Corps Marshal, Olusegun Ogungbemide who was full of appreciation to God for keeping him alive till today appealed to Nigerians to embrace humanitarian service and contribute to nation-building.

He urged the younger officers to be loyal to the service as great reward awaits anyone that served diligently.

Mr Ogungbemide also emphasized the need for them not to place money above their work as the system will surely reward dedicated officers

Mr Ogungbemide appreciated the Corps Marshal for his support and the opportunity to serve his fatherland at every given opportunity and promised to provide more assistance to the Corps whenever he is called upon.

The Retired Assistant Corps Marshal Olusegun Ogungbemide served as the Lagos State sector commander and FRSC Public Education Officer at the Corps headquarters Abuja before his retirement as the Head of Operations.
