Troops of Sector 3, Operation Hadin Kai, working in collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force, have recovered 63 bodies of Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters following a failed attack on Malam Fatori.

Military sources disclosed that the insurgents launched the attack in the early hours of Wednesday, advancing on foot and deploying armed drones in an attempt to overrun the 68 Battalion position.
The assault, which reportedly originated from the Duguri axis through the Bravo Company frontage, was successfully repelled by troops with the backing of coordinated airstrikes.
According to the sources, the joint air and ground operations inflicted heavy casualties on the terrorists, resulting in a decisive defeat.
“After the engagement and subsequent clearance operations, 63 bodies of the terrorists were recovered in and around Malam Fatori, underscoring the scale of losses recorded,” a source revealed.
The Air Component was said to have conducted multiple interdiction missions, delivering precise strikes on identified enemy locations and significantly degrading their operational capacity.
The combined efforts of the air and ground forces forced the surviving fighters to retreat in disarray towards the Arege axis.
