After touring Edo, Eedris Abdulkareem promises music review of Monday Okpebholo’s developmental strides.
Nigerian singer, rapper, and ‘Nigeria Jagajaga’ crooner, Eedris Abdulkareem, has revealed that his next music project will focus on the administration of Monday Okpebholo.
According to Abdulkareem, his recent visits across different parts of Edo State showed that the governor is delivering on his mandate. He particularly commended the administration’s efforts in infrastructural development, rating its performance highly.
During the tour, he was accompanied by the Edo State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Prince Kasim Afegbua. Together, they inspected several ongoing and completed projects, including the Sapele Road flyover at Adesuwa Junction, road construction at NEPA Junction, Sapele Road, Ramat Park Flyover, and projects at Temboga, among others.
The artist disclosed plans to return to Edo State, where he intends to spend about three weeks visiting more project sites and capturing them in a music video that will be released later.
Reflecting on his past work, Abdulkareem noted that he released “Jagajaga” about 25 years ago, adding that former President Olusegun Obasanjo is now a campaigner of the same message.
He said, “I have gone round Edo State and have seen what the governor has done for the people. I urge everyone to wait and listen to what my music will say about the developmental strides of the Edo State governor.
“I speak through my music. I have been in Abia State for the past two months working on a music documentary for Governor Alex Otti, and I will come to Edo State after completing that project.
“I will spend three weeks going round Edo projects and drawing inspiration. If there are negative things, I will address them, and if there are positive developments, my music will reflect them.
“The government in Edo State is on the right track. I won’t say too much now—just wait for the music video on Edo’s development.
“I want to thank Governor Monday Okpebholo for listening to the people and for developing the state. I look forward to putting everything I have seen in Edo into a musical video.”
