The NNPC Foundation Limited has been recognised as the winner of the CSR Champion Award (Health) 2025 by Independent Newspapers.
The honour was conferred during the Silver Jubilee edition of the Independent Newspapers Awards, themed “Game Changers: Breaking Barriers and Shaping Tomorrow,” held at Eko Hotel and Suites on Saturday, April 18, 2026.According to a press statement signed by Andy Odeh, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd., the award underscores the Foundation’s significant contributions to the healthcare sector, as well as its wider social investment efforts spanning education, environmental sustainability, and access to energy.
The recognition follows a series of impactful health interventions by the Foundation. The Managing Director of the Foundation, Emmanuella Arukwe, described the award as a strong validation of the organisation’s efforts and the trust Nigerians have placed in it.
She stated that the recognition reflects the resilience of the communities served, the commitment of the Foundation’s team, and the strength of partnerships that have driven impactful interventions across healthcare, education, environmental sustainability, and energy access.
Arukwe also expressed appreciation to the leadership and management of NNPC Ltd., noting that their support has been instrumental in strengthening the Foundation’s capacity to deliver social investment programmes across the country.
