Terrorism Crackdown: Federal Government Publishes Names of 48 Suspects

The Federal Government has released an updated list of 48 individuals and groups allegedly involved in sponsoring terrorism across the country.


The list was published on the official website of the Nigeria Sanctions Committee (NiGSAC) on Saturday, April 11, 2026, via nigsac.gov.ng.
According to the publication, the names include both individuals and organizations identified in connection with terrorism financing and activities. The entries are accompanied by their respective record dates.
The list, reproduced in full, features names such as Abdulsamat Ohida, Mohammed Sani, Abdurrahaman Abdurrahaman, Fatima Ishaq, and Tukur Mamu, among others.
Also included are several groups like Jama’atu Wal-Jihad, Ansarul Sudan (Ansaru), Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and other entities.
Some entries carry record dates from March 2024 through March 2025, while a few have unspecified dates.
The release forms part of ongoing efforts by the Federal Government to track, sanction, and curb terrorism financing and related activities in Nigeria.
