2027 race: APC extends forms sale, submission dates to accommodate more contenders

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved an extension of the deadline for the sale of aspirants’ Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, as well as the submission of completed forms for the 2027 general election.
The party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Durosinmi Meseko, announced the development following a meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) held in Abuja on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
According to him, the sale of forms will now end at midnight on Monday, May 4, while the submission of completed forms and accompanying documents will close at midnight on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
Earlier, the sale of forms was scheduled to run from April 25 to Saturday, May 2, with the submission deadline fixed for Monday, May 4, 2026.
Meseko explained that the extension became necessary due to the public holiday observed nationwide on Friday, as well as the high level of interest shown by aspirants seeking to contest in the 2027 elections.
