RESIGN NOW — OSHIOMHOLE FIRES AT AKPABIO OVER CONTROVERSIAL SENATE RULES AMENDMENT

Don't Miss

PETER: DE “VA VA VOOM” Prior to Obi’ defection the party wasn’t known, very obscured, at best on the level of one of those registered parties just to be on the ballot, not necessarily to make appreciable impact during elections. Sen.Henry Seriake Dickson must have had a divine encounter and the musings to register a political party came strongly. Did he know that a day would come when his party would raise within a twinkle from grass to grace? I guess only him would be in the position to explain. I must sincerely commend him for this foresight. One thing we must realize and appreciate without sounding envious is this, Peter Obi is the force. He is the movement, the lifewire of any party, the oxygen that brings life and visibility, the air that makes a flat balloon gets inflated with the beauty and dazzling that never was, also that sharp pointed silver coloured pin that deflects it by his exit. I have read a lot of views and opinions about Obi and his always on the move attitude to change party, beside such being sheer bufooenery talks, his intimidating, dominant impeccable personality, crowned, turbaned etc with no corruption insignia seem their agony and hatred. Check the number of people that registered in NDC from March when it was registered by INEC as a political party to the end of April, compare it with the number that registered from the time Obi joined the party. The difference is clear. To the haters, a reality that would cause them sleepless nights, provoking nothing but mud slinging and spewing of malicious propaganda. However, Obi isn’t an average guy, his popularity is in A level, the echoes it generates very exponential and the impact it creates very tsunamic, denying it or trying to stain it would be sheer suicidal, turning one into a ridicule or at best, randomly bloviating. Peter Gregory Obi for now is the Nigeria political Va- va – voom. Argue it at your peril. Only a tree with ripe fruits gets the pebbles of hungry passers-by. He is not in power, he isn’t the only opposition candidate, they are legion but his name seems a terror to them; even those holding and controlling power fidget too at the mention of his name. Give him his flowers if you are not a hater of grace and the Chief Priest of gaslighters’ association. 2027 election is filled with unpredictable clarity because Obi is still in the equation. Those holding and controlling power still have butterflies in their stomach because Obi is still in the equation. Remove Obi, the boxing ring for 2027 becomes a playing ground *Jarlath Uche Opara is a creative writer. Author, columnist and political/ social analyst*. @FACEBOOK Jalarth Uche Jarlathuche@gmail.com
