Wadada best suited to sustain Sule’s achievements — APC stalwart Philip Dada

A former governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Chief Philip Dada, has called on the people of the state and members of the APC to support the governorship aspiration of Senator Aliyu Wadada in the interest of continuity, fairness and sustainable development.

Speaking on the political direction of the state ahead of the 2027 governorship race, the former Secretary to the State Government said that in order to ensure continuity and sustain the pace of infrastructural development, citizens should align with the choice of Governor Abdullahi Sule and support Senator Aliyu Wadada ahead of 2027.
According to the APC chieftain, the Sule administration has laid a solid foundation in infrastructure, governance and economic development despite the challenges confronting the state.
He noted that roads, public facilities and other developmental projects initiated by the administration have positively impacted communities across the three senatorial districts.
Chief Dada explained that the progress recorded under Governor Sule requires sustained support for the APC and the governor’s preferred candidate in order to retain power and consolidate on the achievements already made.
He therefore appealed to all governorship aspirants within the party and other stakeholders to conduct themselves peacefully and work towards the overall success of the APC from the grassroots to the national level.
Dada also urged party leaders and stakeholders to unite all factions within the party and carry everyone along as members of one family ahead of the elections.
The former SSG declared his support for Senator Aliyu Wadada, describing him as a humble, honest and experienced politician with a passion for unity and development.
According to him, Wadada enjoys acceptance across ethnic and religious divides because of his inclusive leadership style and longstanding relationship with people from different backgrounds.
“Senator Wadada is a detribalised leader who relates with everybody equally irrespective of tribe, religion or gender. His political and business associates cut across all sections of society,” Dada declared.
He further applauded Wadada for his patience and loyalty to the party over the years, recalling how the senator accepted defeat in an earlier governorship contest and later worked for the success of the same candidate he contested against.
Dada described the action as a rare demonstration of political maturity and commitment to party unity.
On the issue of zoning and fairness, Dada maintained that the governorship position should return to Nasarawa West Senatorial District in 2027.
He explained that with the return of democracy in 1999, the governorship seat started from Nasarawa West before moving to Nasarawa South and later to Nasarawa North, where it is currently domiciled.
“Equity and justice require that the rotation returns to Nasarawa West to sustain the existing balance among the senatorial districts,” he stated.
