The Oyo State Government on Monday demolished a building identified as a hideout used by kidnappers who abducted the sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Mrs.

Busayo John-Paul, along with her twin sons.
The government stated that the demolition was part of efforts to reinforce its zero-tolerance policy against criminal activities across the state.

The exercise was carried out by officials of the Ministry of Lands and Housing in collaboration with security agencies after intelligence reports linked the structure to the criminal gang responsible for the abduction.
Mrs. John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, were kidnapped on June 3 along Elewura, Ring Road, Ibadan, while she was taking the boys to school.
Their freedom was later secured through a coordinated operation by the Nigeria Police Force, which resulted in the neutralisation of two suspected kidnappers and the arrest of others involved in the crime.
According to government officials, investigations conducted after the rescue operation revealed that the demolished building was one of the locations where the victims were allegedly held during their captivity. (ThisDay).
