Kwara Pupil Pregnancy: NSCDC Detains 43-Year-Old School Staff

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, has arrested a 43-year-old non-teaching staff member of a public primary school in Ilorin over the alleged impregnation of a 14-year-old Primary Four pupil.

The suspect, identified as Amuda Olubukola, was taken into custody after the Command’s Gender Unit received a complaint and commenced an investigation into the matter.
Confirming the incident, the Command’s spokesperson, Micheal Ayoola, disclosed that the case was reported by the victim’s mother, who raised concerns about her daughter’s condition.
According to Ayoola, preliminary investigations led to the arrest of the suspect, who is currently assisting investigators as efforts continue to establish the full circumstances surrounding the allegation.
Reacting to the incident, the Kwara State Commandant of the NSCDC, Abbas Mohammed, strongly condemned the alleged act, describing it as a grave breach of the trust placed in school personnel.
He stressed that schools must remain safe environments for children and warned that anyone found guilty of offences involving minors would face the full weight of the law.
The Command added that investigations are ongoing and that the suspect will be charged to court if sufficient evidence is established at the conclusion of the investigation.
