The Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly and member representing Ado State Constituency, Mrs.

Lami Danladi-Ogenyi, has expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ado for endorsing her to seek a second term in the Benue State House of Assembly.

Speaking after receiving the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination form alongside Governor Hyacinth Alia, Ogenyi described the endorsement as a great honour and a vote of confidence in her leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.

She said the party’s decision to return her as its candidate was both a privilege and a call to greater responsibility.

“I am profoundly grateful to our visionary and people-oriented Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, our indefatigable APC leaders, loyal party members, and my beloved constituents for the trust, love and overwhelming support in allowing me to fly the party’s flag once again in Ado State Constituency,” she said.

The deputy speaker noted that her political journey had been built on collective sacrifice, unity and a shared commitment to the development of Ado, Benue State and Nigeria.

She stressed that the mandate was not about personal ambition but about advancing the aspirations of the people.

“Ado State Constituency is not about me alone. It is about us. It is about the work of God through the people.

“This ticket confirms that our people desire purposeful representation, grassroots development and a strong voice that will boldly speak for them on the floor of the Benue State House of Assembly,” she stated.

Ogenyi reaffirmed her commitment to running a people-centred campaign, promising to prioritise education, women and youth empowerment through expanded opportunities for skills acquisition and employment.

She also pledged to strengthen access to quality healthcare and social welfare services for residents across the constituency.

On legislative responsibilities, she promised to sponsor quality bills and motions that would directly improve the welfare of the people while maintaining close engagement with her constituents.

“I will remain a representative who listens first and acts at all times in the best interest of the people. Together, we will build an Ado State Constituency that works for everyone,” she pledged.

The deputy speaker urged APC members and residents of Ado State Constituency to remain united, peaceful and committed as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
