Borno School Attack: full list of 36 Students Missing After Terror Raid

A verified list of students abducted during the invasion of Government Day Secondary School, Lassa, in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, has been obtained.

The attack, reportedly carried out by suspected Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters, saw the assailants raid the school and abduct students and teachers.
Lassa is located about 20 kilometres from Mussa community, where 42 pupils of Mussa Primary and Junior Secondary School were abducted on May 15.
According to sources, the insurgents stormed the school at about 8:30 a.m. on Monday. During the attack, a teacher who reportedly refused to accompany the gunmen was shot dead, while another sustained injuries and is receiving treatment in hospital.
A verified register obtained by Daily Trust contains the names of 36 abducted students. Of the total, 11 are male while 25 are female.
The class distribution shows that one student is in SS3, 17 are in SS2, and 18 are in SS1.
The Councillor representing Lassa Ward, Hon. Jagila Jabula, confirmed the authenticity of the list, stating that it was compiled by the school authorities with the assistance of parents of the missing students.
