Suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists have abducted the wife of a pastor and her three children in Damasak, Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State.

The incident reportedly occurred around noon on Saturday near Kareto village along the Maiduguri-Damasak road.
Community sources said the victims were travelling to Damasak to join the clergyman, Pastor Moses Guguma, who oversees a COCIN Church in the town.

According to sources, the terrorists intercepted the commercial vehicle conveying the family and ordered the pastor’s wife and her three children to disembark. The remaining passengers were allowed to continue their journey while the gunmen reportedly led the family into the bush.
The pastor’s wife, whose identity has not been disclosed, was said to have been discharged from a hospital in Maiduguri only a few days earlier and was still recovering at the time of the attack.
As of the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of the victims remain unknown. Security agencies have yet to issue an official statement on the incident, while the kidnappers have not made any contact or presented any demands.
A source close to the family, who spoke on condition of anonymity, claimed the victims were deliberately targeted because of their religious identity.
The source added that relatives and members of the church are holding special prayers for the safe return of the pastor’s wife and her three children.
