After Umrah, Gov. Aliyu Visits Families of Late Alhaji Alhaji, Others

Governor Aliyu returned to Sokoto after performing Umrah in the Holy Land and proceeded to pay condolence visits to several families over the death of their loved ones.


This was contained in a statement signed by Abubakar Bawa, Director General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Sokoto.

Among the families visited was that of the late Sir Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, Sardaunan Sokoto, who died a few days ago. The Governor also visited the family of the late former Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Ibrahim K. Aliyu, who also passed away a few days ago.
Governor Aliyu further condoled with the District Head of Wamakko, Alhaji Ahmed Barade, over the death of his daughter, Rashida, who died recently. He also extended his condolences to the Sokoto State Chief Judge, Justice Sa’idu Muhammad Sifawa, over the death of his wife, Hajiya Aisha.
The Governor also visited Kofar Taramniya, where he condoled with his in-law, Alhaji Abubakar Attahiru, over the death of his younger sister, Hajiya Halima Sani, popularly known as Yar Dubu, who passed away a few days ago.
He also paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Umaru Ladan of Kwanar Majema, who died at the age of 55 and is survived by one wife and 10 children.
At all the houses visited, prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of the departed.
