Walson-Jack Urges Media to Sustain Tough, Balanced Civil Service Coverage
The outgoing Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, says the media has played a critical role in helping Nigerians understand and appreciate reforms in the Federal Civil Service.
At a special interactive session with media correspondents and editors in Abuja, Mrs. Walson-Jack commended the industry for its support, professionalism and balanced coverage throughout her two-year tenure.
She particularly acknowledged the extensive coverage of the Office’s media engagements, including the Meet and Greet, the World Press Conference on the International Civil Service Conferences of 2025 and 2026, as well as the Media Conference on the Paperless Civil Service.
The outgoing Head of Service expressed confidence that the partnership between her office and the media would endure and grow stronger under her successor. She urged journalists to continue asking tough questions and upholding the Federal Civil Service to the highest standards.
Earlier, the Director of Press and Public Relations, Mrs. Eno Olotu, said the interactive session was designed to provide journalists with an informal platform to engage directly with the Head of Service, share their observations and offer suggestions on how the Federal Civil Service could improve its operations and interactions with the public.
