Former President Goodluck Jonathan may be edging closer to the 2027 presidential race after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Kabiru Turaki, announced a waiver of screening requirements ahead of the party’s presidential primary.
The disclosure was made on Tuesday in Abuja by Babangida Aliyu, a member of the PDP screening committee and former governor of Niger State.
The development comes amid growing speculation over Jonathan’s possible return to presidential politics following ongoing discussions surrounding his eligibility.
