2027: ADC Holds National Convention

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is set to hold its National Convention as part of ongoing efforts to reposition the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The is contained in a statement signed by the acting Chairman of the National Working Committee of the party, Kingsley Ogga in Abuja.
The statement says the convention is expected to attract party stakeholders, delegates, state executives, youth leaders, women groups, and political observers from across the country.
According to the statement, the convention will serve as a strategic platform to strengthen the internal democratic structures of the party, review its political direction, and consolidate preparations for the 2027 electoral process.
It states that the event is expected to feature the inauguration and ratification of members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), deliberations on the conduct of party primaries, expansion of party structures nationwide, and consultations on strategies for effective grassroots mobilisation.
The convention will also provide an avenue for discussions on national development, youth participation, women inclusion, party reforms, and the role of the ADC in deepening democratic governance in Nigeria.
According to the statement, the gathering represents a significant step towards building a stronger and more united political platform capable of providing credible leadership and alternative governance for Nigerians ahead of the 2027 elections.
It adds that Members of the public, party faithful, civil society organisations, and members of the media are invited to attend the convention.
