No Camp Yet: NYSC Postpones Niger Orientation as Renovation Continues.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the postponement of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Orientation Course for Prospective Corps Members deployed to Niger State.
In a statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the scheme explained that the decision was necessitated by the ongoing renovation of the NYSC Orientation Camp in Paiko, Niger State.
According to the statement, the camp is currently undergoing repairs by the Niger State Government following extensive damage caused by a recent windstorm.
The NYSC stated that it is making urgent arrangements to secure an alternative venue for the orientation exercise. It also assured affected Prospective Corps Members that a new commencement date and other relevant details would be communicated in due course.
“This decision has become necessary due to the ongoing renovation of the NYSC Orientation Camp in Paiko, Niger State, being undertaken by the Niger State Government following the extensive damage caused by a recent windstorm,” the statement noted.
The management expressed regret over any inconvenience the postponement may cause to Prospective Corps Members and their families, while appreciating their understanding and cooperation.
