Ministry of Aviation approves redeployment of directors across key aviation agencies.
The Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has approved the immediate redeployment of directors across four aviation agencies, Daily Sun reports.
The redeployment affects the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), and Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB). It was approved by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and conveyed through an official circular dated February 9, 2026.
The directive, signed by the Permanent Secretary, Yakubu Adam Kofarmata, with reference number PS/FMA/PCA/S.31/T, involves directors overseeing public affairs and consumer protection, corporate services, finance and accounts, human resource administration, and special duties.
At NiMet, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Funke Arowojobe, has been reassigned to the NSIB in the same capacity. Meanwhile, the Director of Human Resource and Administration at NiMet, Dr. Nasiru Sani, has been redeployed internally to serve as Director of Corporate Services within the agency.
Similarly, the Director of Corporate Services at NiMet, Airohiuodion Omonzogie, has moved to the NSIB to oversee corporate services, while the Director of Corporate Services at NSIB, Baro Minabawarre, has been redeployed to NiMet as Director of Human Resource and Administration.
The leadership of public affairs at both NSIB and NiMet has also been restructured. The Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at NSIB, Bimbo Oladeji, has been transferred to NiMet to head the same directorate.
In the finance departments of NAMA and NSIB, the Director of Finance and Accounts at NAMA, Muonemeh Lotenna, has been moved to NSIB, while the Director of Finance and Accounts at NSIB, Okundaye Folake, now assumes the same position at NAMA.
At the NCAA, the Director of Special Duties, Horatius Egua, has been relieved of his appointment with immediate effect and directed to hand over all NCAA property in his possession to the Director General of NCAA, Capt. Chris Najomi. Additionally, Augustina Erah, who previously held no position, has been appointed Director of Special Duties at the NCAA.
The Permanent Secretary stated that the redeployment takes immediate effect.
