TCN Reinstates Shiroro–Mando 330kV Transmission Line 1

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has successfully reinstated the 330kV Shiroro–Mando Transmission Line 1, which is now fully operational, Core Reporters has learnt.


According to TCN’s General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, the transmission line was restored at about 3:27 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026, after engineers completed the necessary repair works.
With the restoration of Line 1, bulk electricity supply to Kaduna Electric has improved significantly, easing the power supply challenges previously experienced in Kaduna.
Meanwhile, repair works continue on the 330kV Shiroro–Mando Transmission Line 2. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the second line is expected to be restored soon, further enhancing network redundancy and strengthening overall system reliability.
TCN expressed appreciation to its customers and stakeholders for their patience, understanding, and cooperation during the repair period, reaffirming its commitment to providing stable and efficient transmission services across the country.
