“APC Must Grow Stronger” — Alia Praises Tinubu, Challenges New Party Leaders to Deliver

The Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has congratulated the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for successfully steering the party through its National Convention.
Governor Alia expressed optimism that the high level of cooperation demonstrated by party members during the process of electing leaders at all levels would further strengthen the party and ensure its continued growth.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, the governor commended the President for his leadership.
“I heartily congratulate the Leader of our great party and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for providing the visionary leadership that ensured the successful planning and seamless execution of the National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held on March 27, 2026,” he said.
He noted that the peaceful ratification of processes leading to the convention—from ward to local government, state, and zonal congresses—demonstrates the party’s unity, strength, and commitment to internal democracy.
According to him, the success of the convention reflects a shared dedication to purposeful leadership and progress within the party.
Governor Alia also congratulated the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, along with other party officials who emerged at various levels, on their new positions.
He urged them to live up to the trust placed in them by members, emphasizing the need to uphold integrity, discipline, and the sanctity of their offices while working to strengthen party unity and advance the party’s ideals.
The governor added that expectations from Nigerians and party faithful remain high, expressing confidence that under the new leadership, the party would continue to grow stronger and effectively deliver on its mandate.
