The Renewed Hope Interfaith Movement has begun mobilizing citizens of Benue State to support the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia in the 2027 presidential and gubernatorial elections.

Members of the movement made this known during a meeting in Makurdi, stating that both leaders deserve another term to sustain and build on their governance achievements.
Speaking at the meeting, the Director General, Hon. King Samuel, urged members to remain united and committed to the growth of the movement. He expressed optimism that the people of Benue would once again entrust their mandate to President Tinubu and Governor Alia in the 2027 polls.
He further disclosed that all existing support groups have been merged under the Benue State Amalgamated APC Support Group for Tinubu/Alia 2027, which operates as a subsidiary of the Renewed Hope Interfaith Movement. He noted that members cut across different religious backgrounds while working collectively toward the success of the two leaders.
Also speaking, the State Director of the movement, Bishop Mike Angou, called for peace, unity, and cooperation among members. He emphasized the importance of consolidating various support groups into a single structure to strengthen the campaign for the 2027 elections.
In their separate remarks, the State Coordinators for Christians and Muslims, Pastor Paul Ochomma and Mallam Baba Ahmed, said they were responsible for coordinating members within their respective faiths. They appealed for continued cooperation to ensure the success of their candidates.
Representing the traditional institution, the Sarkin Hausawa, Iman Sani Yusuf, urged members to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to achieving the movement’s objectives.
As part of efforts to realize its goals, the movement announced plans to hold a one-million-man march on April 20, 2026, in collaboration with the Benue State Amalgamated APC Support Group Inclusion Forum for Tinubu/Alia 2027.
