Blessing CEO Faces Fresh EFCC Charges Over Alleged ₦13 Million Cancer Scam
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has again arraigned social media influencer and self-acclaimed relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, over an alleged ₦13 million fraud.
She was arraigned on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, before Justice Yelim Bogoro of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, by the EFCC Lagos Zonal Directorate 2.
Six-Count Charge Filed
The EFCC filed a fresh six-count charge against her, bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and retaining proceeds amounting to ₦13,000,000.
The charges followed several petitions received by the commission from individuals and groups, including the Nigeria Cancer Society.
Alleged Fake Stage 4 Cancer Claim
According to the EFCC, the petitioners made donations to the defendant after she published social media posts claiming that she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer and needed financial assistance for treatment.
The commission alleged that the documents she presented to the public in support of her claims were later discovered to have been falsified.
The fresh arraignment comes amid ongoing legal proceedings involving Blessing CEO, who has previously faced other fraud-related allegations before the court.
