DJ Cuppy Sparks Debate After Declaring She Can’t Marry a Nigerian

Nigerian disc jockey and billionaire heiress, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has revealed that her family background and celebrity status have often overshadowed her relationships, leading her to conclude that she cannot marry a Nigerian.

Speaking during a recent podcast appearance shared on X by @Vampz, the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola said her past dating experiences made her question the motives of some men she had been involved with.
According to her, those concerns arose after a former partner appeared more interested in meeting her father than in building a genuine relationship with her.

“I can never marry a Nigerian. It’s impossible. The last one I dated was asking me when he can meet my dad.
“I didn’t even think they liked me, my dad doesn’t even care who I marry. He just wants me to get married. That’s why I’m so happy for Temi Otedola and Mr Eazi,” she said.
DJ Cuppy explained that she often wonders whether people are attracted to her genuine personality or to her public image, fame and lifestyle.
