“God spoke, she listened — and love found its way.”

Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has opened up about how she knew her husband was the man she would eventually marry, revealing that she received a divine confirmation the very first day they met.

Speaking in a recent interview with DANG, Kadiri said she never grew up feeling pressured to get married and was never the type who spent time dreaming about weddings.
According to her, “I’ve never really been the girl who sits down and thinks about marriage. It wasn’t a thing for me. I didn’t even know whether I was going to marry. I knew I was a catch and anyone that was going to marry me was going to be lucky.”
The actress recounted that she met her husband at work when he approached her and initiated a conversation. Although she was not interested initially, she later gave him a chance and they discussed business, importation, and Vietnam.
She said the turning point came as she was about to leave their first meeting.
“As I was about to walk away, the Spirit of God told me he’s my husband,” she recalled.
Despite that experience, Kadiri revealed that she blocked him just two days later. However, he remained determined and eventually found a way to reconnect with her.
Four months after their first meeting, he proposed, and she accepted.
Kadiri also disclosed that she was in another relationship at the time before eventually agreeing to go on a date with him. She added that sharing parts of their relationship journey publicly helped strengthen her commitment to the relationship.
Reflecting on her past, the actress said she turned down three marriage proposals because she believed she was a valuable partner and that the man who eventually married her would be fortunate.
A video of the interview has since attracted attention online, with many reacting to her account of how she received what she described as a clear message from God about her future husband.
