Police Confirm Abduction of Six Students After Bandit Raid in Kaura Namoda

The Zamfara State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of seven students of the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda, by suspected bandits.


The command’s spokesperson, Yazid Abubakar, disclosed that the incident occurred on Tuesday when armed men attacked the students’ residence in the Low-Cost area of Kaura Namoda town.

According to Abubakar, the assailants abducted the students during the attack. However, one of the victims later escaped, leaving six students still in captivity.
The police spokesperson said efforts are ongoing to secure the release of the remaining students and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The latest incident adds to growing concerns over insecurity and recurring abductions in parts of Zamfara State and the wider North-West region.
