2026 WASSCE: Guests Urge Review to Restore Public Confidence

Guests on Perspectives, a Kapital FM Current Affairs Programme, made the call in Abuja.
Speaking on the topic, “Alleged Discrepancies in the Conduct of the 2026 WAEC Examinations: Issues and Remedies,” Proprietress of a private school and former FCT NAPPS President, Mrs Olusola Bankole, called for transparency and a well-monitored process.

She stressed that the introduction of Computer-Based Testing (CBT) was intended to reduce examination malpractice, technical glitches and other challenges, thereby making the system more effective.
Also speaking on the programme, the Regional Coordinator, Alliance of Civil Societies for Sustainable, Inclusive and Transformative Education and a member of the School Feeding Advocacy Group, Mr Abdullahi Sale, called for proper investigation of complaints and the provision of adequate infrastructure and technical support to ensure that students were not affected by system failures.
The guests urged the authorities to review the 2026 WASSCE and strengthen the system towards achieving a credible and fair examination process.
