Former NBC DG Praises Tinubu’s Football Leadership

Former Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Dr. Danladi Bako, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for promoting peaceful and rancour-free transition within Nigeria’s football administration.

In a statement in Abuja, Bako says the President’s intervention had brought renewed hope to the country’s football ecosystem.

The statement says President Tinubu, through what he described as mature and discreet leadership, ensured a smooth transition without overt interference.

According to the former NBC Director-General, President Tinubu has also directed that lasting reforms be introduced in the administration and development of football in Nigeria.

It adds that the reforms should focus on strengthening grassroots and age-grade football, as well as ensuring adequate attention to the development of the country’s senior national teams.

The statement expresses confidence that sustained reforms and proper attention to all levels of football development would help improve the future of the sport in Nigeria.

According to the statement, Bako thanks President Tinubu for what he described as his leadership and commitment to repositioning Nigerian football.
