Kuje residents hail road project, urge proper maintenance.

Residents of Kuje Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory have appealed to the FCT Administration, relevant agencies and road users to ensure proper maintenance of the newly reconstructed roads to sustain the benefits of the project and guarantee long-term value for residents and motorists.

The appeal was made during interviews with Kapital FM in Abuja, where residents spoke on the impact of the ongoing road reconstruction and dualization project in the area.
They described the project as a major milestone, noting that it is the largest road infrastructure development undertaken in the Area Council since its creation. According to them, the improved road network has eased traffic congestion, reduced travel time and significantly lowered the incidence of road accidents.
The residents explained that the journey from Kuje to Abuja city centre, which previously lasted about one hour and thirty minutes, now takes approximately thirty minutes. They commended the project, saying it has improved mobility and boosted socio-economic activities in Kuje and neighbouring communities.
