The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has congratulated its Executive Secretary, Bishop Prof.

Stephen Adegbite, on his appointment as Director of Mobilization, Faith-Based (Christians), for the 2027 All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.

The commission, in a statement issued on Saturday and signed by its Director of Media and Public Relations, Celestine Toruka, described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Adegbite’s leadership capacity, pedigree and years of service to the church and the nation.

NCPC expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for considering its Executive Secretary worthy of the responsibility.

The commission said Adegbite’s experience as Executive Secretary of NCPC, Chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel and Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos State, placed him in a strong position to mobilise Christian support for the APC ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

“We are convinced that our dear Executive Secretary, who also doubles as the Chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel and the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Lagos State, has all it takes to mobilize millions of Nigerian Christians to align favourably with the APC in the 2027 Presidential Election scheduled for 16th January, 2027,” the commission stated.

NCPC further described Bishop Adegbite as a “tested performer” and a highly resourceful, result-driven leader capable of delivering on national assignments.

According to the commission, Adegbite has, in the last two and a half years at the helm of NCPC, transformed Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria through effective stakeholder engagement and the successful conduct of hitch-free pilgrimage exercises.

The commission said his leadership had helped to rekindle hope in the organisation and reposition Christian pilgrimage through improved coordination and engagement with relevant stakeholders.

NCPC expressed confidence that the new assignment would provide Adegbite with another opportunity to contribute to national development and serve the country with dignity, patriotism and good conscience.

The commission wished him success in the new role and expressed optimism that he would bring his wealth of experience and leadership skills to bear on the mobilisation assignment ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
