Ododo Backs Kwararafa Unity, Peace and Development at Abuja Development Summit

Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on Saturday attended the Kwararafa Development Forum (KDF) summit Held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

Governor Ododo was represented at the summit by his Deputy, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu.

The summit, convened by the Executive Governor of Taraba State, His Excellency Agbu Kefas, was aimed at promoting unity, understanding and development among the people of the Kwararafa Kingdom.

The event brought together prominent traditional rulers, political leaders and other stakeholders from across the Kwararafa Confederacy.

Among the royal fathers in attendance were the Attah of Igala and President Kogi State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Majesty Alaji Mathew Opaluwa Ogwuche Akpa, CFR, represented by the Ejeh Dekina, Alhaji Dr. Usman Obaje, the Ohinoyi of Ebira Land, His Royal Majesty Alhaji Ahmed Anaje, the Achadu Oko Attah Igala, His Royal Highness Alih Yusuf Ameh Adaji III, the Ejeh Ofu, His Royal Highness Alhaji Akwu A. Obaje, and the Ejeh Ankpa, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Abubakar Sadiq Ahmed Yakubu II.

Other traditional rulers from outside Kogi State who attended included the Aku Uka of Wukari, His Majesty Dr. Manu Ishaku Adda Ali, the Emir of Lafia, His Royal Highness Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I, the Emir of Keffi, His Royal Highness Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, the Emir of Nasarawa, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibril, and the Emir of Awe, His Royal Highness Alhaji Isa Abubakar Umar II, among other royal fathers.

The summit provided a platform for traditional and political leaders to strengthen bonds, promote unity and explore ways of advancing the development and shared interests of the people of the Kwararafa Confederacy.

The gathering gave all participants the opportunity to celebrate the historic occasion and to commit to the unity and peaceful cooperation among the diverse communities that make up the Kwararafa heritage.
