The Senior Pastor First Baptist Church, Garki, Abuja, Reverend Tom Tampatore, has called on eligible Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voter Cards PVCs and participate actively in the 2027 general election.

Addressing the congregation during the church’s Annual Thanksgiving Service, Reverend Tampatore said responsible leaders could only emerge when citizens actively participated in the electoral process.

According to him, the country needs responsible leadership that prioritises the welfare and well-being of the people.

The Baptist cleric reminded political office holders of the need to remain committed to their campaign promises and serve the interests of ordinary Nigerians while promoting peaceful coexistence.

He also urged Nigerians not to lose hope in the country but to remain steadfast in the discharge of their civic responsibilities and continue to pray for those in positions of authority.

The Chairman of the Church’s Diaconate, Deacon Bassey Offiong, said that despite the challenges facing the country, citizens must continue to appreciate God for sustaining the unity of the different ethnic groups within the country.
