Former Green Eagles Player Lawrence Orairo Dies

Another former Nigerian international and member of the Green Eagles squad, Lawrence Orairo, has died.

His death comes less than 48 hours after the passing of another ex-international, Henry Nwosu, which was announced on Saturday.
Like Nwosu, Orairo also played for New Nigerian Bank FC of Benin City, Edo State. The club was originally known as Ethiope FC and was based in Sapele, Delta State.
Other notable players associated with the club during that period included Bright Omokaro and Stephen Keshi.
According to available information, Orairo reportedly slumped on Sunday morning while on the field in the Kirikiri area of Lagos State and was later confirmed dead.
Another former international, Taiwo Oloyede, shared the news of his passing on a WhatsApp platform.
