NNPC Ltd Partners Rivers Ministry Of Health, Kolmarg Foundation For Medical Outreach In Gokana
The NNPC/Renaissance/TotalEnergies/AENR Joint Venture, operated by Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, has launched the B-Dere Vision First Plus (Vision First + Health-In-Motion) Programme at the Model Primary Health Care Centre in B-Dere Community, Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The four-day medical outreach, held from Tuesday, May 5 to Friday, May 8, 2026, was organised in partnership with the Rivers State Ministry of Health and the Kolmarg Eyesight Foundation. Hundreds of residents turned out to benefit from the free healthcare services.
Services provided during the outreach included eye screening, consultations and surgeries, distribution of reading glasses, dental care, cancer screening, laboratory tests, health promotion and education, diagnosis and treatment of chronic and minor illnesses, as well as distribution of insecticide-treated mosquito nets.
At the flag-off ceremony, the Head of Business Services, NUIMS, NNPC Ltd., Nkechi Anaedobe, alongside the Director of Medical Services, Rivers State Ministry of Health, Dr. Vincent Nwachukwu, presented wellness packs to members of the community.
The programme further highlights NNPC Ltd.’s commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare in host communities and strengthening collaboration with government institutions and reputable non-governmental organisations.
