2027: Pro-Tinubu Group Bets on Achievements for Re-Election

Ahead of the 2027 general election, a support group campaigning for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term has declared that it will market the President’s re-election bid based on the achievements recorded during the last three years.

The group, known as Renewed Hope for Greater Nigeria (RHGN), made the declaration on Monday in Abuja during a world press conference addressed by its National Coordinator, Hon.
Calistus Anyanwu.
Speaking at the conference themed “From Policy to Prosperity,” Anyanwu said that unlike other support groups focusing on electioneering campaigns for President Tinubu’s re-election, RHGN would concentrate primarily on the landmark achievements recorded by the administration over the past three years as the basis for seeking a renewed mandate from Nigerians.
“RHGN was not conceived in the pursuit of political patronage. It was born from the belief that leadership should be judged by performance. Reforms should be judged by results. Public policies should be judged by their impact on the lives of ordinary citizens.
“Our members and supporters include professionals, farmers, artisans, business owners, academics, traditional leaders, women, youths, members of the Diaspora and grassroots mobilizers united by one purpose: to promote informed public understanding of reforms that seek to lay the foundation for a stronger, safer and more prosperous Nigeria,” he said.
He specifically listed the removal of fuel subsidy, exchange rate unification, the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), tax reforms, direct remittance of statutory monthly allocations to the 774 local government councils, and the ongoing constitutional process for the establishment of State Police Services as some of the landmark achievements of the Tinubu administration that would be showcased in support of his re-election.
Anyanwu added that in the coming weeks and months, the group would engage heads of various federal government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) through achievement-focused interfaces to enable them present to Nigerians what they have accomplished and the value they have added to the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
While acknowledging that Nigerians are currently experiencing hardship as a result of the bold and courageous policies introduced by the Tinubu-led Federal Government, the RHGN National Coordinator maintained that the present pains would soon translate into lasting gains for citizens.
“History rarely celebrates leaders for avoiding difficult decisions. It remembers those who made them when their nations needed them most.
“We believe that facts deserve a voice. We believe that reforms deserve informed public scrutiny. Above all, we believe that Nigerians deserve a national conversation founded on evidence rather than emotion.
“We are mobilizing our people across every nook and cranny of our nation to drive that conversation. To mobilize our people for the task of building a greater Nigeria where brotherhood would flourish in our hearts and not only in the inspiring words of our national anthem.
“In the weeks ahead, RHGN will embark on nationwide town hall engagements to present information on the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda, explain ongoing reforms, listen to citizens, receive constructive feedback and strengthen communication between government and the governed,” he said.
Coordinators of RHGN from the 36 states of the federation, alongside national officers of the group, attended the world press conference.
