Tinubu Presides Over First FEC Meeting in Two Months, Swears in RMAFC Commissioners

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday presided over the first meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in two months, following a break in the council’s sittings.

Before the commencement of the meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, the President administered the oath of office to two newly appointed Federal Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

The new commissioners are Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Mukhtar, representing Kaduna State.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, disclosed that the agenda for the meeting also included the swearing-in of newly appointed Federal Commissioners of the National Population Commission (NPC).

Vice President Kashim Shettima, members of the Federal Executive Council, and other senior government officials were in attendance at the meeting.

The session marks the first Federal Executive Council meeting since the council last convened two months ago.
