Abuja Court Upholds Abdulrahman-Led PDP NWC

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed a suit filed by Mr. Kabiru Tanimu, Prof. Jerry Gana, Adolphus Wabara and others seeking to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognise an alleged Interim National Working Committee (NWC) as the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In its ruling on Friday, the court held that the suit lacked merit, noting that the party’s authentic National Legal Adviser did not initiate the legal action.
The judgment further affirms the Abdulrahman-led National Working Committee as the recognised leadership of the PDP.
The court’s decision also indicates that the Turaki-led group is not recognised in law as part of the PDP.
More details to follow.
