Motorists Lament Gridlock, Call for Wuya Bridge Expansion

Motorists and commuters plying the Mokwa-Bida Road in Niger State have expressed concern over the persistent traffic gridlock around Wuya Bridge in the state.
Some of those who spoke with our correspondent along the road decried the high rate of heavy-duty vehicles causing traffic obstruction, resulting in the loss of productive hours for motorists and commuters.
They called on the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, and other relevant agencies to put in place necessary measures to reduce the challenges faced by motorists and commuters in the area.
According to them, urgent attention should also be given to the expansion of Wuya Bridge to ensure the free flow of traffic along the Mokwa-Bida Road.
They equally called for the relocation of Wuya Market, which they said was contributing to indiscriminate parking of vehicles and the display of products on the Federal Highway along the Mokwa-Bida Road.
