Nigerian Southern Senators Forum Mourns Senator Mpigi Barinada
The Nigerian Southern Senators Forum has expressed deep sorrow over the death of its General Secretary, Senator Mpigi Barinada, who represented Rivers South-East Senatorial District in the current Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In a statement issued and signed by the Chairman of the Forum, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, the Forum described the late senator’s passing as a significant loss to the Senate, Rivers State, and the country at large.
Senator Mpigi was celebrated as a devoted and patriotic legislator who carried out his responsibilities with dedication, humility, and integrity. He was actively involved in the activities of the Forum and fulfilled his role as General Secretary with diligence and a strong sense of duty.
Over the course of his legislative service, spanning his time in the House of Representatives and later in the Senate, he remained a consistent advocate for his constituents and a respected contributor to national discourse.
The Forum extends its condolences to his family, his constituents, and the Government and people of Rivers State, while praying that God grants his soul eternal rest and gives comfort to all who mourn his passing.
