FRSC FCT COMMAND DEPLOYS OVER THREE THOUSAND PERSONNEL FOR SALLAH CELEBRATION
The Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC says it has mobilized and deployed Three Thousand Two Hundred Regular and Special Marshals 4 l for effective traffic Management during the Eid- El-Fitri in the Federal Capital Territory FCT.
FCT Sector Commander of FRSC Mr Felix Theman who stated this while updating News Men in Abuja said 37 patrol vehicles, 14 ambulances, 24 bikes and 4 tow trucks have been deployed to ensure free flow of traffic across the Six Area Councils of the territory.
According to the Sector Commander, All the Unit Commanders have been directed to deploy adequate personnel to all roads leading to praying grounds for effective traffic control.

Mr Felix Theman explained that all high volume traffic areas have also been identified with adequate logistics deployed to attend to emergencies during and after Sallah celebration .
Mr Felix Theman noted that the Corps was working with other security agencies for the safety of lives and property during the celebration.
He urged motorists to give maximum cooperation to the FRSC personnel while all the Four entry and exit points to the FCT would be given special attention.
Meanwhile, the FRSC has commenced a targeted enforcement campaign known as ” Operation Safe Kugbo”
The Enforcement Campaign is aimed at improving Free flow of traffic and reducing accidents involving articulated vehicles along the busy Kugbo outbound corridor in the federal capital territory.
On the first day of enforcement, the Nyanya Unit Command successful restricted 89 articulated vehicles from operating during the designated peak periods.
The FRSC management has therefore urged operations of heavy duty vehicles to comply with the restrictions noting that sustained enforcement under Operation Safe Kugbo remains a key measure to ensure safer and more efficient movement within the federal capital territory.
