The Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has appealed to the people of the state to give their full support for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
Governor Alia made the appeal while addressing a large crowd during the Strategic Enlightenment Engagement with Benue citizens held at IBB Square. He stated that he also requires total support from the people to enable him consolidate on the developmental strides already initiated across the state.
He noted that the unprecedented attention his administration has given to revitalising infrastructure in schools, hospitals, and transport systems, among others, has been made possible through the support and commitment of the President.
“I tell you today that the President of this country, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, knows every Local Government Area in the state.
“He is concerned about the insecurity affecting us. He is determined to end insecurity in the state and has been closely monitoring developments,” he said.
The governor added, “With the efforts we are making, alongside the tireless support from Mr President, internally displaced persons are gradually returning to their homes. We are committed to ensuring that the camps are emptied and that our people return to their ancestral homes.
“So, you need to re-elect us to consolidate on the progress we have made for the benefit of all.”
Governor Alia also commended members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state for their orderly conduct during the National Convention and the processes leading up to it.
He further called for sustained support for the party at all levels and inaugurated the 23 Local Government Area Coordinators as Renewed Hope Ambassadors to mobilise support for President Tinubu’s reelection.
